Abstract:
It is now well appreciated that the immune system impacts numerous aspects of human health and disease. This broad intersection provides novel and untapped opportunities to harness immune mechanisms to enable early interception of diseases. To this end, a major focus of our current work seeks to identify the specificity and diversity of the immune repertoire involved in pathogenic conditions, such as autoimmunity, or in beneficial responses such as tumor immunity. In this presentation, we will discuss our broad strategy and vision, and how dynamic interactions with the external ecosystem enable rapid progress along the lines of research described above.
