Prof. Udayan Chandra, In-charge, DBT-BIRAC Biotechnology Business Incubation Facility (BBIF) will conduct an interactive session on Translational R&D grant funding & entrepreneurship. The purpose of the workshop is to encourage researchers to take technology closer to market i.e.: eventual commercialization/implementation in the form of technology licenses or through stimulating enterprise formation via the creation of spin-off / start-up companies or raising investments for the company. The scheme aims to support high-risk technology ideas with considerable potential for impact. Furthermore, this financial support is directed to motivate students, researchers to take up entrepreneurship and become aware of the power of Intellectual Property (IP).
