CSIR-IMTECH and DSTE, GoP is signing an MoU to jointly address issues pertaining to environment, climate change and public health to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Mission Tandrust Punjab 2.0. 

CSIR-IMTECH and  DSTE, GoP  has recognized the need for promoting Research and Innovation (R&I) ecosystem in the State and particularly using Research and to enhance competitiveness, boost economic growth and create quality jobs.

 CSIR-IMTECH and  DSTE, GoP have expressed the desire to work together to promote collaborative programmesto make Punjab the R&I Hub and the healthiest State with healthy environment

 CSIR-IMTECH and  DSTE, GoP  are coming together to excel in collaborative programs on new, innovative and cost-effective biosensors & microbial technology based techniques for monitoring and improvement of water quality including bio-remediation. 

 Analysis and interpretation of data with respect to water quality in the State. Collaborative technical studies on diseases linked with water pollution. Promote innovation ecosystem in the State by providing mentorship, guidance and support to start-ups 

 Aid in Capacity building of R&D Institutions in Punjab for Technology Transfer. Support the state through its Big Data computational capacity for analysis and forecasting of crop diseases like Rice blast, etc.

Showcasing State-of-the-Art equipment and facilities as well as the Skill Development Centre set up at IMTECH for the benefit of life science industries and start-ups.

Lastly, to jointly organize Innovation Summits/Conclaves, capacity building & awareness programmes to promote research and innovation in the State.
