About Program

In line with the Skill India Mission of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, CSIR has introduced the ‘CSIR-Integrated Skill initiative’ to benefit aspirant candidates by training them in State-of-the-Art CSIR Facilities. This program will help provide a skilled workforce in computer and web-based application development.

Applications are invited from eligible citizens of India for a training program under the CSIR-IMTECH Skill Development Program on “Junior Software Developer,” based on the syllabus curriculum of NSDC QP SSC/Q0508.

How to apply

How to apply and Mode of selection:

  1. Candidates have to apply as per the application format given in this advertisement.
  2. One self-attested set of documents should be submitted along with the Application Form. All educational qualifications and experience documents are to be brought in original at the time of joining.
  3. The latest medical fitness certificate from a registered medical doctor has to be provided with the application form. 
  4. Candidates may apply for the course by filling out the application form online through email (shekhar@imtech.res.in) or by hand or post the form to Chander Shekhar, Scientist Bioinformatics Centre, CSIR- Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Sector 39 A, Chandigarh 160036.
  5. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for joining the program. 
  6. The selection of the candidates will be made according to the eligibility criteria. Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications and experience in the relevant domain.

  8. A registration fee of Rs. 200/- has to be deposited by the selected candidates before the commencement of the course.
  9. Fee waiver for women candidates and candidates from SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. CSIR-IMTECH will not be liable for employment, promotion, or future carrier growth.
  2. CSIR-IMTECH shall provide no financial support.
  3. No legal liability in case of an accident while undergoing training at CSIR-IMTECH.
  4. Continuous assessment and evaluation of the candidates will be done during the training period. The certificate will be awarded to successful candidates only.
  5. Course material, as stipulated in the Model Curriculum by NSDC, shall be provided by the institute.
  6. Accommodation on a sharing basis may be provided to outstation candidates subject to availability and CSIR-IMTECH’s guidelines.
  7. The candidates shall be subject to the rules, regulations, and administrative control of the CSIR-IMTECH during the course.
  8. The skill development program is not an offer of employment, explicit or implicit, at CSIR-IMTECH and is merely an initiative to impart employability by CSIR-IMTECH.
