About Program

The Biochemical Engineering Research and Process Development Centre (BERPDC) at CSIR-IMTECH is organizing a National Hands-on Training Workshop on Advances in Bioprocess Technologies, focused on Biotherapeutics & Vaccine R&D.  The workshop is going to be held from 23-30th  June 2023 at CSIR-IMTECH, Chandigarh Campus. The major goal of this workshop will impart intensive hands-on and classroom training to participants on Microbial and Mammalian Cell culture bioprocessing for the development of E.coli based Biotherapeutic protein and CHO cell-based monoclonal antibody, respectively. The training modules include Fermentation (upstream) and downstream processing, Operation of Microbial Fermenter, Cell Culture Bioreactors, Separation and purification of recombinant therapeutics proteins and monoclonal antibodies using Chromatography techniques. This workshop will benefit academic and Industry professionals working in the area of Biopharmaceuticals, particularly Biotherapeutics, monoclonal antibodies, and Vaccines. This workshop will also help the participants to gain fundamental understanding in recombinant protein expression, refolding of inclusion body proteins, purification and ascertaining critical to quality characteristics. Furthermore, participants will get familiar with Quality assurance, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements for the preclinical and clinical development of biopharmaceutical molecules. During this event, eminent speakers from renowned Biopharma Industries, research institutions and regulatory bodies will be delivering key note lectures.

Expected Outcomes

Startups, Entrepreneurs : Rs 2500 per participant
Scientists& Faculties: Rs 5,000 participants
Industry Professionals: Rs 10,000 per participant

Accommodation Fee: Additional Rs 1500 per participant for 7 nights on twin sharing basis.
*Note:
 1) Registration fee will include, the access to the participants in all scientific sessions, hands-on training module, course materials, lunch, tea/coffee during breaks & certification. 
2) Accommodation fee of Rs.1500 include stay at guest house for 7 nights (twin sharing), breakfast & dinner at during stay.
3) Accommodation will be provided on first come first serve basis. 
4) Participants has to make their own arrangement for travel to Chandigarh and return.
