CCP4 Crystallography School and Workshop: From data processing to structure refinement and beyond

The course is intended mainly for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in the area of structural biology. Applicants with already collected data will be given strong consideration, although this not a mandatory requirement. Note: for the tutorials and practicals there is a limit of 35 students, lectures are open to all.
Application to the workshop is free of charge, but a letter from the supervisor or the professor will be required. Travel expenses will be the responsibility of the participant, accommodation and meals will be provided. There accommodation at the CSIR guest house.

General Information:
1. The workshop is an advanced school in the field of macromolecular crystallography and will provide hands-on experience and intensive training in computational aspects of macromolecular crystallography. The instructors for this workshop will arrive from different parts of the world.  The workshop will be held from October 22-26, 2018 at the CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, Sector 39-A, Chandigarh-160036. All the participants are required to stay only at the provided accommodation for the duration of the workshop as the lectures will begin at 9:00 am and the tutorials/problem solving sessions will end at 8:30 pm. 
2. The selected participants who are requested for accommodation will be provided a shared accommodation free of cost at IMTECH, from October 21-27, 2018.
3. All meals will be provided free of cost.
4. All the travel expenses (including local travel) should be borne by the participant. No travel money will be paid by the organizers.
5. How to reach: The distance between Chandigarh Railway Station and IMTECH is 15 kms. You can reach IMTECH, Chandigarh from railway station either by Taxi or Auto-rickshaw. The distance between International airport and IMTECH is about 20 kms. Taxi is the best way to reach IMTECH from airport. You may take pre-paid taxi at the airport or alternatively book the taxi either through OLA or UBER app which is generally cheaper. You can reach IMTECH from Bus stand either by Taxi or Auto-rickshaw. 
6. A laptop computer with linux operating system will be provided to the participants for the duration of the workshop. Once the workshop is finished, kindly return it to us. 
7. Please confirm your participation by October 10th, 2018 to the undersigned. If we don’t hear from you by 10th October, then the position will be offered to another candidate. 
8. Kindly send us your travel itinerary as early as possible.
9. Please bring one poster (size 4x3 feet) showing your work to display at the workshop. You are also advised to bring your own X-ray diffraction data for the workshop.
