Eligibility

General (UR)/General-EWS candidates with Master's Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/M.Pharm) with minimum aggregate of 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent in CGPA in any branch of Science or Technology are eligible to apply. The minimum aggregate of marks in case of OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third Gender candidates are 50% (without rounding off) or equivalent in CGPA. Candidates should also have a valid and tenable National-level fellowship from CSIR-UGC NET/DBT-JRF examination (‘A’ Category only)/DST-INSPIRE Fellowship/ICMR-JRF examination or equivalent fellowship like NFSC, NFST etc. 
OR

General (UR)/General-EWS candidates with 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme with minimum 75% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent CGPA in any branch of Science or Technology are eligible to apply. The minimum marks or equivalent CGPA for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, third gender and Persons with Disability (PwD) from the recognized University are 70% (without rounding off). Candidates should also have a valid and tenable National-level fellowship from CSIR-UGC NET/DBT-JRF examination (‘A’ Category only) or equivalent fellowship. B.Tech/ B.Pharm/ BE students who fulfill the condition for GATE-JRF fellowship (https://www.csirhrdg.res.in/Home/Index/1/Default/3373/58) are also eligible.

Sponsored candidates for Master’s degree in Science/Technology with minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS and minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third Gender and Persons with Disability (PwD). Endorsement (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory.
OR
Project Assistants/Associates Senior Research Fellows, Group-IV Scientists and Group-III Technical Staff of CSIR and other affiliated Research Institute of AcSIR. NOC from current employer is mandatory.
