How to apply

The application should be submitted online at http://acsir.res.in. The last date for submitting the application is 21.10. 2025
Important to Note: 
1.    Candidates with lecturer-ship/Assistant Professorship only in CSIR-UGC (NET) examination or Candidates selected for working only in ICMR or DBT Projects or Candidates having M.Sc/M.Tech/ M.Pharm with GATE/GPAT are NOT eligible.
2.    The admission of candidates holding bachelor’s degree and applying for JRF-GATE shall be subject to the award of fellowship from CSIR. The limit of number of such fellowships to be awarded by CSIR shall be adhered to as applicable.
3.    Project Assistants/Associates who are applying must be working in a research project of a PI/faculty of CSIR-IMTECH. The Senior Research fellowship or WISE-Ph.D fellowship that form the basis of application must be awarded with the faculty member of CSIR-IMTECH proposed as the mentor/Scientist mentor, respectively. All other conditions are also applicable.
4.    The document verification process cannot be followed in the online mode of interviews.  Therefore, all shortlisting, selection etc. would be provisional and will be confirmed only after verification of all relevant documents. In case of any deficiency of any type in the documents, the candidature would automatically stand cancelled any time on finding such a deficiency. Please note that valid proofs of Fellowship awarded and other necessary documents are mandatory for appearing in the interview.
5.    The candidates who are waiting for results of qualifying examinations may also appear for interview but their joining is subject to clearing the eligibility criteria.
6.    The fellowship MUST be valid and tenable at the time of joining CSIR-IMTECH.
7.    Admission of candidates having DST-INSPIRE fellowship or any other fellowship may stand cancelled in case candidate fails to obtain fellowship from the respective funding agencies. CSIR-IMTech will not provide any financial support to such candidates.
8.    Candidates must also state their present occupation/enrolment status in an institute or        university and information about fellowship activation etc., in the AcSIR application. Any concealment may result in cancellation of admission at any stage.
9.    Mere fulfillment of the minimum requirements stipulated in the advertisement would not        automatically entitle a person for selection. 
10.    Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.

12.    The decision of the Director, CSIR-IMTECH, regarding shortlisting/selection/admission of the candidates shall be final.
